Annenberg Rooms (DRAFT)

The Annenberg Dance Studio is located on the street level of the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, and is accessible only through the outdoor entrance. Primary usage is offered to Independent student dance clubs. First-time reservations must request PennCard access in advance from platthouse@pobox.upenn.edu. For those who have already acquired PennCard access, walk-ins are welcome during unreserved times.

All rehearsal room users are expected to follow these guidelines:

• Always carry your PennCard with you;
• Only bottled water permitted in rehearsal rooms;
• Refrain from using rosin and do not wear outside shoes, tap shoes, toe shoes, and shoes with heels on the dance floor;
• Clean up after yourself;
• Do not move furniture and equipment into or out of rooms;
• Return the room to its “basic setup”;
• Please turn off the smart TV, sound system, and lights when not in use;
• NEVER prop open the rehearsal room door, and securely close the door upon exiting;
• Report needed repairs and housekeeping to platthouse@pobox.upenn.edu.

Public events (such as a master class or performance) and non-Penn affiliated usage requires explicit permission. To make a special rental arrangement of this kind, email platthouse@pobox.upenn.edu. If Penn-affiliated groups are found to be using their rehearsal reservation for public events without a special rental arrangement in place, a fee of $500 will be charged, and future rehearsal space privileges will be revoked.
